(Della) Nice little crop of orange pumpkins – well done Steve! We opted for a quick-maturing variety this year due to the late summer season; I suspect that my preferred Queensland Blue variety would not have ripened in time!
Cherry tomatoes are producing nicely now, although the larger varieties are only going to get to the green tomato pickle stage. Fortunately we love green tomato pickles. PS: We are also going to try pickled green tomatoes.
This harks back to my post about growing them from seed back in Spring: Short Season Crops These guys were from Diggers and were called ‘Potimarron’ The ‘Blue Ballet’ pumpkin did well too over a cold summer – and the Romanesco Zucchini were spectacular.
